The Independent is a newspaper
dedicated to covering stories, news
and events throughout Monroe County. The publishers and contributing
writers were all raised right here in Monroe County.
The paper is published on the first
and third Fridays of each month. They are mailed through USPS the previous day.
Advertising deadlines are seven days prior to publication dates.
