The Columbia High School girls’ soccer team proudly returned home with their third place trophy from the Illinois State Class A Tournament last week in Naperville. The CHS Eagles won third place in the state tournament with a 4-0 victory over Herscher High School. Hannah Varel scored twice while Torey Byrd and Marissa Juenger each netted one.

The Columbia High School boys track team finished third at the Sectional Championships, scoring in 12 of the 18 events. Matt Clyde qualified for the state tournament in the 3200 meter run. He ran a personal best 10:09 and finished 14th overall in the Class A IHSA State Championship. |
