E-Newsletter - February 16, 2007 Beer Truck Collides With Car
A Chick Fritz Distributing truck and an SUV collided yesterday at 9 a.m. on Bluff Road, near the intersection of HH Road, spilling several cases of Miller Lite, Miller Genuine Draft and Stag cans onto the road. Despite heavy damage, the driver of the car was able to get out of her vehicle and declined medical treatment. The driver of the truck was transported to a local hospital with reportedly minor injuries including a large cut to his forehead. Valmeyer firefighters cleaned the spill and helped the tow trucks clear the road. The names have not yet been released. ![]() The driver of an SUV that collided with a beer delivery truck was not injured.
Maeystown Fastnacht Scheduled For Fat Tuesday “We’ll be serving mounds of pancakes and deep fried sausages,” said Mark Bundy. The cost for the evening is $7 for adults and $3 for children ages 6 to 12. Children under 6 are free. Bundy reports he’s lined up the kitchen staff and they’re ready for the big day. Morrison-Talbott Library in Waterloo will hold two photography classes during February. Amy Meiser, a Creative Memories consultant, will teach the classes with photography tips for scrapbookers and casual photographers. The first class will be Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., on the topic of digital photography for beginners. The class is free but requires registration to ensure there are enough supplies. The second class will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, from 1 to 3 p.m., on photo organization. This class is $11. Students will receive a mini power sort box at the class and are asked to bring 600 to 1,000 photos to organize.
