Dump Truck Slams Into Pflueger’s Car

Jennifer Pflueger’s Pontiac Grand Prix sustained heavy damage during a three-vehicle accident Wednesday morning.

Jennifer Pflueger of Smithton was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital in Belleville Wednesday morning after being rear-ended by a Wolfmeier Trucking dump truck.

Pflueger, 36, was driving her Pontiac Grand Prix northbound on Route 3 approaching Columbia. As she stopped at the light at South Main Street, dump truck driver David Hoock, 58, slammed on his brakes but was unable to avoid hitting the rear end of Pflueger’s car. The impact caused the Grand Prix to side swipe Hershel Lillis’ Chevy Silverado. Lillis, 52, was not injured.

Hoock was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
