Vandalism Reported At Concrete Resources When employees arrived to work on Monday, they discovered a large cement powder silo was filled with solid concrete. According to police, over the weekend, the silo was filled with water, causing the dry powder to harden. Also that weekend, the same act of vandalism occurred at Concrete Resources’ St. Charles plant. Damage to the Columbia facility was estimated at $200,000. Both concrete plants are closed until repairs can be made to the silos. The company’s owner, Jeff Stretch, is offering a $10,000 reward to any person who can provide information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator. There are currently no suspects in the case, said Columbia Police Chief Joe Edwards.
