Today's News - April 17, 2007 Low Turnout So Far At Consolidated Election
As of 1 p.m. today, polls around Monroe County were experiencing low voter turnout. “The rural county polls are very slow today,” said County Clerk Dennis Knobloch. The cities of Waterloo and Columbia were showing about 20 percent of registered voters casting their ballots at mid-day. Found In Waterloo High School Waterloo Police Chief Joe Brauer said he does not believe whoever brought the bullet into school meant harm to anyone, and that it may have accidentally fallen out of a student who hunts’ pocket. Classes resumed today without incident.
