Craft Dies In Hit-And-Run Accident The van was found Thursday at about 5 p.m. by a person hunting for mushrooms off State Street in East Carondelet. St. Clair County detectives are interviewing the owner of the van today. Anyone with additional information about the incident is asked to contact the Dupo Police Department at 618-286-4884. Craft is a 2006 graduate of Waterloo High School. She is the daughter of Diane and Joe Lewis of Waterloo. A visitation will be held Sunday evening at Quernheim Funeral Home. The Columbia Police Department will conduct an emergency evacuation drill today at 1 p.m., at Columbia High School. A similar drill was held last year at Columbia Middle School. “This drill will help identify strengths and weaknesses in the response plans of emergency service units from Columbia and the Columbia School District Crisis Response Plan,” said Columbia Police Chief Joe Edwards. State Senator Bill Brady of Bloomington spoke yesterday at the Waterloo Country Club about his opposition to Governor Rod Blagojevich’s proposed gross receipts tax. Brady said the increased taxes would be highly detrimental to businesses throughout the state. Bradley also said he is hoping to be the Republican Party’s candidate for governor in the next election. Milo is two-year-old male, de-clawed cat. His foster mom says he does great with the other cats, dogs and people.
