Gilmore is a 2003 graduate of Dupo High School who is a current student at St. Louis University. Gary Biggs was given a going-away party Saturday night at The Ridge. The former Valmeyer and Dupo police officer has been hired by the United States Border Patrol. He and his daughter will be moving to Yuma, Ariz., in mid-September. Congratulations to Sherrie and Jay Sawyer, who were re-engaged this weekend and are planning for their second marriage to each other. SS. Peter and Paul High School graduates from the years 1948 to 1957 gathered Sunday at Acorns for their annual golden reunion. Joe and Evelyn Sondag had an eventful Sunday. After attending the Ss. Peter and Paul High School reunion, they were spotted at the MASC production of The Flood at the Capitol Theatre. “They did a really good job recreating the experience of the Flood of 1993,” said Joe Sondag. He did point out the actors did overfill the sandbags during the production. “We only filled them half-way up,” said Sondag. The Sondags said they did thoroughly enjoy Sunday’s production. Joe and Evelyn lived on B Road in Valmeyer in 1993 and lost their home to flood waters.

Recent Obituaries June Adair Henderson, 79, died Sept. 9. She was the wife of Chester Wayne Henderson, who survives her. Visitation is Tuesday, Sept. 11, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Lawlor Funeral Home. Funeral is Wednesday, Sept. 12, 10 a.m., at Lawlor. Survivors include sons, Chester Doyle Henderson of Dupo, Tony Glenn Henderson of Dupo, Robert Roy Henderson of Dupo and Dennis Pedrick Henderson of Waterloo; daughters Charlotte Ann (Carl) Nickles of Walnut Grove, Mo., Sharon Elaine Zenthoefer of Londell, Mo., Sheila Mae Sellers of Winter Park, Fla., Beverly Jean Henderson of Walnut Grove, Mo., and Connie Sue Hernandez of St. Louis, Mo.; brother, Jim D. Moss; and sister, Annie Moss. |
