Red Bud and Columbia Advance - November 3, 2007

Red Bud And Columbia Win Playoff Football Games

Red Bud football fans celebrate their team’s second-round playoff victory.

Both the Red Bud and Columbia High School football teams advanced into next week’s third round of the playoffs with victories today. Red Bud defeated Red Hill 35-0 and Columbia beat West Frankfort 48-13. Their next opponents have not yet been determined.

Glessner Celebrates Milestone Birthday

John Glessner celebrated his 50th birthday on Friday with his wife, Sharon, left, and friends with dinner at JV’s. His birthday is Sunday, Nov. 4.
