Waterloo Rings In Holiday With Christmas Walk

Second Place Columbia Football Team Welcomed Home

The Columbia High
School football team gathers Sunday with their second place trophy
in the Class 3A football tournament. Following a parade along Main Street, the
team gathered with coaches, parents and fans in the gymnasium for a celebration.

Recent Obituaries
Sylvester
Kettler, 80,
of Columbia, died Nov. 24. He was born in Paderborn, the son of the late Herman
and Catherine, nee Karban, Kettler. He was the husband of Mathilda, nee Hoffmann
Kettler, who survives him. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic
Church in Columbia. He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Kettler.
Survivors include a sister, Mathilda Eitzenhefer of Freeburg. There was no
public visitation and the family is having a private funeral service.
