Columbia Hit With String Of Overnight Car Break-ins

Columbia Police Officer Mike Suedkamp searches for fingerprints on the window of Alyse Albrecht’s car on Olympia Ave.

The Columbia Police Department is investigating several overnight break-ins to vehicles, mainly on the south end of the city. The burglars broke through windows of the vehicles to gain entry and then stole items of value lying inside.

“They stole my purse,” said Alyse Albrecht, who had her Chevy Equinox broken into on Olympia Ave.

The Columbia Police Department is asking anyone who saw something or someone out of the ordinary last night to contact the dispatcher at 281-5151.
