Team Raises Funds At Meat Shoot

The Valmeyer Lakers baseball team held their annual meat shoot
fundraiser Sunday at Fountain Inn. Lucky attendees won turkeys, pork sausage and
pork steaks.

Elvis Show Raises Three Grand For U.S. Soldiers

Saturday night’s
Memories of Elvis Show at the Waterloo VFW
raised nearly $3,000 for the Operation Uplink program, which provides phone
cards to those serving in the U.S. military. Fans of Steve “Elvis” Davis packed
the VFW to listen to his always-memorable performance.

In Motorcycle Accident

A man was injured Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle
accident at the intersection of HH Road and Bluff Road. His name and condition
have not yet been released.

Saloon Celebrates Grand Re-Opening

Columbia City Saloon owners Jim Manion and Vern Obermeier,
gather with family, friends and waitresses Saturday during their grand
re-opening ceremony. They celebrated with a pre-Halloween party and two bands,
Millennium and Vote For Pedro. The establishment will have a ribbon-cutting Nov.
