Pretto Three-Peats In Rooster Crowing Contest

Danielle Pretto, right, and her rooster have won the Grand Champion ribbon at the Monroe County Fair’s rooster crowing contest for three straight years. This year her rooster crowed 58 times during the one-half hour contest. The other ribbon winners were Jenna Schneider, first place; Seth Heard, second place; Lauren Marquardt, third place; and Wyatt Drew, fourth place. Congratulating Pretto on her victory are Little Miss Heather Albert and Fair Queen Carolyn Wicklein, center.

The thoughts and prayers of many people at the fair are with the family of Leland Johanning. He suffered a heart attack last week and has been hospitalized in critical condition ever since.
