Bulldogs Fall In Gridiron Match For Second Straight Week It was a tale of two halves for the Waterloo Bulldogs football team Friday night against Mascoutah. The Waterloo Bulldogs had some early success, scoring first for a 7-0 lead and they remained ahead at the half with a 14-13 cushion. But after that, it was all Mascoutah in the second half, in large part to Mascoutah’s star running back, Matt Milton, a division one recruit. He had a huge game running the football. "Milton decided to wake up against us tonight,” said Waterloo Head Coach Dan Rose. “We played well early, but the division one athlete took over.” Rose added his squad played hard tonight, but it just wasn’t enough to sustain the lead. “We're 2-2 now. We're not dead. We are going to work our tails off starting tomorrow,” he said. Rose also said the team has been dealing with some off-the-field issues. “We had some things to fix tonight and a few distractions this week that took away from the practice, and that is going to be dealt with, and we are simply going to prepare and work our tails off to prepare for next week."
