Christopher Coleman will appear today at the Monroe County Courthouse.
Another pre-trial motion hearing for State’s Attorney Kris Reitz and defense
attorney John O’Gara is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in front of Judge Milton
Wharton. The hearing will allow the attorneys to further discuss the
procedural details of the upcoming October trial of Coleman, who is charged
with three counts of first-degree murder. Coleman’s wife, Sheri, and sons
Gavin and Garett, were found murdered on May 5, 2009. Christopher was
arrested May 19, 2009 and charged, but he pleaded not guilty to the
accusations. He is being detained at the Monroe County Jail without bond
awaiting his trial. Reitz is seeking the death penalty.
