Red Bud Football Team Loses First-Round Playoff Game

Red Bud gave up nearly as many points in one game today than they had in all previous nine regular season games. The Musketeers (8-2) lost their opening round home playoff game Saturday afternoon 61 to 36 to Staunton (9-1). RBHS’ defense had previous given up only 65 points during the 2010 campaign.

Staunton came out strong from the beginning and soon had a lead. Although they had won every home game so far this year, the Musketeers found themselves down at halftime 34-14. Staunton continued putting points on the board in the second half and eventually won by a score of 61-36.
